One of my favorite!
Great one to start your day, to boost your breakfast, but also as a snack or even before training.
Serves 2
- 1 handful of baby spinach, washed
- 1/2 avocado, cut into small chunks
- 1/3 cucumber with peel, washed and cut into chunks
- 1 small handful of fresh coriander
- 1/2 lime, washed, with the skin
- 2 or 3 slices of fresh ginger, washed, with the skin
- filtered water or raw coconut water
- optional add matcha tea or super green powder
Method:
Throw all those ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth.
Leafy greens:
- low in calories
- packed with vitamins (clear skin and healthy immune systems)
- spinach and kale contain more potassium than bananas
- can help reduce blood pressure
- keep you feeling full longer which will help you avoid unnecessary snacking
Avocados:
- excellent source of monounsaturated fat and vitamin E
- high in calories due to the high fat content
- more soluble fiber than other fruit
- contain a number of useful minerals such as iron, copper and potassium
- a good source of the B vitamin, foliate.
Cucumber:
- high alkaline levels (regulates the body’s blood pH and neutralizes its acidity)
- excellent cleansing properties (actively remove accumulated waste and toxins)
- optimize urinary bladder, kidney, liver and pancreatic functions
- promotes muscle flexibility
- ensures proper blood circulation and relaxed nerves due to its magnesium content
Coriander:
- treatment of skin inflammation and skin disorders
- high cholesterol levels and blood sugar disorders
- diarrhea and indigestion
- mouth ulcers
- anemia, menstrual disorders
- conjunctivitis, while also benefiting eye care
Ginger
- contains very potent anti-inflammatory compounds gingerols
- these could explain why so many people with osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis experience reductions in their pain levels and improvements in their mobility when they consume ginger regularly
- gingerols inhibit the formation of inflammatory cytokines (chemical messengers of the immune system)
Lime:
- well known for its medicinal properties , the nutritional benefits of limes do not differ very much from those of lemons
- both are excellent sources of vitamin C, B6, potassium, foliate, flavonoids and the outstanding phytochemical, limonene. Limonene have anti-cancer effects and help increase the level of enzymes that detoxify carcinogens
Remember that
Our body is a fabulous ecosystem, so we must take care of it, respect it, and listen to it
Nice day to all of you 💙 🙏 🌼
